This paper presents a rare case of trans-scaphoid, transcapitate, transtriquetral, perilunate fracture-dislocation of the right wrist as a result of a motorcycle accident. Open reduction and internal fixation of the scaphoid and capitate with one screw was performed and the lunotriquetral ligament was repaired using a suture anchor.

A fracture of the scapula is frequently associated with other significant injuries. In the case described, a motorcycle accident victim sustained multiple injuries, including a scapular fracture associated with a tear of the subclavian artery, demonstrated by angiography and confirmed at operation. A literature review revealed no similar case.

All-terrain vehicles (ATVs) have become a major source of morbidity and mortality with more than 600 deaths nationwide. Nearly half of those injured are children under 16 years. India does not have a national crash-level surveillance system. Instead, police stations report crashes in standardized tables that are summarized at the state level. Since tabulations provide limited insights into crash patterns, we developed a crash database from police First Information Reports (FIRs) on all (n = 11,175) fatalities in Chhattisgarh during 2017-2019. The data show that not only were motorcycle riders the most common victims (59% of fatalities), but they also posed a substantial threat to other road users. Traffic safety related to motorcycle riding constitutes a growing issue all over the world. This is notably the case in France, where the important progress recently obtained toward a safer driving by car didn't prove to be so much effective for motorcycling. Two-wheeler trauma in developing countries differs in some respects when compared to that in developed countries. A total of 302 cases involved in motorcycle, scooter, and moped accidents were analyzed. There were 201 drivers and 101 passengers.
