The inability to utilize pentose poses as a significant limitation to the production of cellulosic ethanol. To attain efficient raw material conversion and mitigate carbon dioxide emissions during cellulosic ethanol synthesis, a integrated approach focused on the co-processing of ethanol and succinic acid (SA) from peanut shells was proposed. A 10 to 17 years endoscope follow-up was performed to 138 cases of chronic gastritis. Volatile sulfur compounds (VSCs) are key odorants in sludge anaerobic digestion (AD), but their temperature-dependent transformation mechanisms remain unclear. This study compared mesophilic (35 °C) and thermophilic (55 °C) AD by integrating VSC profiles, microbial communities, sulfur-related enzymes, methionine degradation, and EPS characteristics. The chemistry of SO2 solutions was studied with infrared transmission and total internal reflection (ATR) spectroscopy. The cross-sections of the SO2 stretching vibrations v1, v3 and the combination band of v1 + v3 were obtained and found to be slightly different from their gas phase values.
