The ideal evaluation and treatment of aplasia cutis congenita remains disputed. We present a case of midline scalp cutis aplasia that healed by secondary intention, leaving an area of residual alopecia. There were no clinical indicators of an underlying calvarial defect. Tissue expansion of the scalp was done in preparation for scalp closure. However, on the removal of the expanders and scalp advancement, an unrecognized midline calvarial defect in which a scar tract of herniated dura was found. Huntington's disease (HD) is a neurodegenerative disorder associated with expansion of CAG trinucleotide repeats in the huntingtin gene. A minimum of 36 CAG repeats is usually reported in patients with clinical features of HD; 30 to 35 repeats represent an intermediate range. Here we report a 65-year-old male with autopsy-proven HD and 29 CAG repeats.

OBJECTIVE: To explore surgical procedure of congenital microtia.
METHODS: Ear reconstruction was made using soft tissue skin expander and autogenous rib cartilage framework.
RESULTS: Long time follow-up showed that the flap of reconstructed ear was ruddy, soft, with normal sensory function; cartilage framework had no degeneration, absorption and deformation. In addition, the reconstructed ears were coincidence with the normal side on location, form and dimension.
CONCLUSIONS: It was a good method for congenital microtia to use soft tissue skin expander together with autogenous rib cartilage

The radial forearm flap is a versatile tool for the reconstructive surgeon because of its thinness, durable skin quality, aesthetic match, and relative ease of dissection. BACKGROUND: Scalp reduction for male pattern and other extensive, permanent crown-vertex alopecias has been a beneficial, adjuvant procedure in hair replacement surgery and has been augmented by unsightly and sometimes painful intraoperative and chronic scalp expansion techniques.
METHODS: Ten patients underwent scalp reduction for male pattern baldness utilizing intraoperative Sure-Closure, a skin-stretching device. Ten patients had Frechet Extenders placed under the scalp during their scalp reductions with subsequent removal 28 days later followed immediately by second reduction procedures.
