We report a 44-years-old woman with cystic echinococcosis (CE) who presented with simultaneous involvement of liver and vastus lateralis muscle to Istanbul University-Cerrahpasa, Istanbul, Turkey in 2020. The paper presents the results of histological and electron microscopic studies of the tissues of the digestive system of the nematode Passalurus ambiguus (Rudolphi, 1819) after use of the anthelminthics albendazole, fenbendazole, and ivermectine. They demonstrate that albendazole and fenbendazole cause irreversible structural changes. Less pronounced destruction of different parts of the digestive system occurs after the use of ivermectine. All the drugs affect the mid-gut of Passalurus.
