PURPOSE: To develop and validate a deep-learning model for detecting choroidal metastasis and predicting primary cancer sites using ultra-widefield fundus photography (UWFP).

PURPOSE: To evaluate the usefulness of indocyanine green (ICG) in the photodynamic therapy (iPDT) of choroidal melanoma.
MATERIAL AND METHODS: Thirty eight patients with choroidal melanoma were treated with iPDT. Tumor thickness ranged from 2.6 to 4.1 mm in ultrasonography. Before iPDT Ruthenium-106 plaques were used in 18 cases, in 6 cases with additional transpupillary thermotherapy ("sandwich method"), and Iodine-125 plaques in 3 cases. BACKGROUND: Choroidal neovascularisation is known to occur following photocoagulation for choroidal melanomas. Its occurrence rate, possible causes and clinical impact were studied.
METHODS: Post-treatment fluorescein angiograms were reviewed from 18 patients who had received argon laser photocoagulation as sole treatment of their small choroidal melanomas, to look for choroidal neovascularisation. Where it was found an assessment of its clinical impact was made.

For many cancer patients, chemotherapy produces untreatable life-long neurologic effects termed chemotherapy-related cognitive impairment (CRCI). Management of pediatric choroidal hemangioma complicated by large exudative retinal detachment can be challenging, with few options available. Limited data have been published on outcomes following proton radiotherapy (PRT) for management of these patients. We report a case of choroidal melanoma with features suggestive of orbital cellulitis. A 24-year-old Asian Indian male presented with a 20-day history of sudden loss of vision in the right eye. A 52-year-old male patient is presented. The patient was referred to our service for a pigmented tumor of the inferonasal quadrant of retina in OD. Fundus examination confirmed a pigmented tumor of 3 DD, elevated and dome shaped. Ultrasonography showed a dome shaped lesion of 6.3 mm at the base and 3.29 mm in height, medium internal reflectivity and positive for vascularity. Clinical diagnosis of choroidal melanoma was made and brachytherapy with iodine-125 was performed. Findings recorded at 3-year ultrasonographic follow up are discussed.

We present imaging findings in a case of posterior scleritis, which may mimic tumoral mass lesion resulting in unnecessary enucleation.
