BACKGROUND AND DESIGN: For a period of 1 year, all pregnant women presenting with itching were investigated by clinical, histologic, immunopathologic, and laboratory studies. Fifty-one of 3192 pregnant women were studied.

We treated a patient with a combined immunodeficiency and disease pathology resembling GvHD with cyclosporine. This disorder was characterized by exfoliative dermatitis, lymphadenopathy, and lymphocytosis of a novel T-cell phenotype (CD3+ TCR alpha/beta+ CD4- CD8-). Erythroderma is an extensive, scaly erythema, involving more than 90% of the body surface area, and may be life-threatening. Dermatomyositis (DM) has been reported as a rare aetiology for erythroderma. However, the erythroderma itself would potentially mask the pathognomonic cutaneous lesions like the confluent erythema, heliotrope rash, and Gottron's sign of DM, leading to diagnostic dilemmas and potential delay in diagnosis. Here, we report a 23-year-old female with DM who had initially presented with erythroderma. Her cutaneous manifestations preceded the onset of clinical muscle weakness.

INTRODUCTION: Vasculopathy is a crucial feature of systemic sclerosis (SSc). It occurs in almost every patient with SSc, with Raynaud's phenomenon (RP) and digital ulcers (DU) having a great impact on the quality of patients' lives. Intravenous (IV) iloprost, a synthetic analogue of prostacyclin, is broadly used to treat RP and DU secondary to SSc. Currently, there is no standard protocol defined for the iloprost treatment of SSc-associated RP and DU, and, consequently, the management of this treatment is largely based on each centre's experience.

Omenn syndrome is a rare combined immunodeficiency mostly associated with RAG1 and RAG2 mutations; the clinical manifestations are well-described and include neonatal erythroderma. Mortality due to opportunistic infections is a serious risk, and a timely diagnosis with a skin biopsy is an important part of the diagnostic workup. We wish to highlight key clinical features of Omenn syndrome and discuss the relevance of a skin biopsy.

Golimumab is a fully human anti-tumour necrosis factor (TNF)-α monoclonal antibody approved for use in the treatment of active rheumatoid arthritis, psoriatic arthritis and ankylosing spondylitis. Psoriasis induced by treatment with anti-TNF drugs is well documented, but to our knowledge, the development of clinical features of psoriasiform exfoliative erythroderma during treatment with golimumab has not been previously described.
