A simple, rapid, selective and sensitive spectrofluorimetric method was described for the analysis of three nitrofuran drugs, namely, nifuro … cificity, and it was successfully applied for the assay of the three nitrofurans in their different dosage forms. No interference was observed from common pharmaceutical adjuvants. The results were favorably compared with those obtained by reference spectrophotometric methods.

METHODS: We conducted a 5-year retrospective poison control center review of chlorine exposure cases. The inclusion criteria were self (or surrogate) reported concentrated 'chlorine' liquid (> or =10% concentration of sodium hypochorite) or tablet (> or =90% concentration) exposure. Despite a favorable clinical experience, there are little evidence existing about the effects of greater occipital nerve (GON) block in migraine treatment. In an open, preliminary trial we evaluated the use of GON block with 0,5 % bupivacaine, in prevention of migraine attacks. An apparatus was specially designed and constructed for release testing of medicated chewing gums. The adjustable instrumental settings such as temperature, chewing frequency, chewing time, volume of test medium, distance between the jaws and twisting angle increased the versatility of the apparatus.
