We report a case of a closed outer-table parietal "ping-pong" skull fracture occurring in a 4 190-gram female infant born at 39 weeks and 5 days gestation after an uneventful Cesarean section (Apgar scores of 9 and 9 at one and five minutes). There was no maternal history of abdominal trauma during pregnancy and there were no complications or difficulties with Cesarean section delivery. Neurological examination was normal. AIMS: 1. To describe clinical and pathologic characteristics of patients with coccidioidomycosis (CM) who died from 1983-2000 at a hospital in northeastern Mexico, and 2, to know distribution of number of deaths due to CM per year and month.

We report here the surgical management of extraparenchymal renal artery aneurysms associated with hypertension and the results of this treatment. From January 1978 through December 1999, 19 consecutive patients with 23 extraparenchymal renal artery aneurysms underwent surgery with renal revascularization techniques. We studied 38 superficial-type hyperplastic polyps of more than 0.6 cm in size on radiographs to examine their morphologic features. The natural history of a prospectively selected group of neurologically symptomless patients with extracranial arterial disease (EAD) was studied. 23 of 122 patients died over a period of follow-up of from eleven to thirty-six months (mean = seventeen), but only 3 from stroke and 10 from cardiac failure. Orthostatic examinations were performed with a tilt table on 64 male volunteers, of whom 21 had sustained amputation of one or both lower limbs and 23 were paraplegic due to spinal cord injuries (SCI), with 20 healthy subjects as controls. A prospective study of cardiovascular disease was initiated in 1946 whereby 3983 healthy North American males, 91% under age 40, were subjected to periodic electrocardiograms and medical examinations between 1948 and 1963.
