A systematic review of interventions to improve male knowledge of fertility and fertility-related risk factors.

Male infertility is a global health concern. The effectiveness of interventions developed to improve males' knowledge of fertility regulation and fertility-related risk factors remains unclear. This systematic review aimed to synthesize and evaluate the evidence for these interventions. Four databases were searched from inception to June 2023. Eligible studies examined interventions to increase fertility knowledge among presumed fertile males aged ≥16 years of age. Conference abstracts, protocols and studies without sex-disaggregated results for males were excluded. A narrative synthesis witho

Assessment of early neonatal practices to prevent hypothermia ; A comparative study.

BACKGROUND: Globally, neonatal deaths are significantly attributed to hypothermia. This is mostly because of its co-morbidity with asphyxia, premature birth and severe neonatal infections. Worldwide, neonatal hypothermia case fatality rates (CFRs) range from 8.5% to 52%. This study aimed to assess how well a video-based training intervention on mothers' knowledge and practices in preventing neonatal hypothermia worked. METHODS: The knowledge and practices of two groups of primi-para mothers-one control group and one intervention group-were compared in order to achieve this. A total of 124 pri

The Effect of Science-Related Populism on Vaccination Attitudes and Decisions.

In this study, the relationship between science-related populism and individuals' attitudes towards vaccination was examined, presuming that scientific-related populism also influences individual responses towards different vaccinations. Knowledge, attitudes and practices on adolescent vaccination among adolescents, parents and teachers in Africa: A systematic review.

INTRODUCTION: Vaccines are the most successful and cost-effective public health interventions available to avert vaccine-preventable diseases and deaths. Despite global progress in adolescent health, many adolescents in Africa still get sick and die from vaccine-preventable diseases due to lack of vaccination. Adolescents, parents and teachers are key players in the development and implementation of adolescent vaccination policies. Optimal knowledge, attitudes and practices towards adolescent vaccination among these key players may improve vaccine uptake among adolescents. We conducted a quali

Review of Climate Change and Water-Related Diseases in Cambodia and Findings From Stakeholder Knowledge Assessments.

This project aims to increase the resilience of Cambodian communities to the health risks posed by climate change-related impacts on water-related diseases. These include diarrheal diseases, typhoid fever, leptospirosis, melioidosis, viral hepatitis, and schistosomiasis. Certain subsectors of Cambodia's population may be more vulnerable than others with respect to climate change impacts on water and health, including agricultural workers and residents of flood-and droug

Dispelling the myths and misconceptions of acne.

AIMS: In the female genital tract CD10 has been used to assist in the evaluation of mesenchymal tumours of the uterus and in determining whether endometrial stroma is present. CD10 positivity has also been shown in cervical mesonephric remnants and this antibody has been suggested as a useful immunohistochemical marker of mesonephric lesions in the female genital tract. Calretinin has also been shown to be positive in mesonephric lesions. In this study the specificity of these two antibodies in evaluating cervical and uterine glandular lesions and the value of CD10 in determining whether strom

[Attitude of hemophilic adult individuals towards their disease].

The mental health of hemophilic individuals and their families play an important role on the integral treatment of the disease. On the basis of the Azjen and Fishbein's Theory of Reasoned Action, a questionnaire was applied to 43 adult hemophilics to determine the salient beliefs about their disease. These beliefs permitted to elaborate a main structured questionnaire n
