The authors examined five children with the non-classical form of adrenal hyperplasia. The clinical symptoms of the disease comprise: early congenital pubic hair, small stature, accelerated bone maturation, infertility, in girls hirsutism, acne, menstrual disorders, amenorrhoea, in boys oligospermia, acne. In a group of 109 children with the nephrotic syndrome caused by mesangial hyperplasia 5 cases with unfavourable outcome were observed. The follow-up was from 3 years to 11 years. In all children no remissions of the syndromes were obtained after treatment with prednisone, methylprednisolone pulses, immunosuppressants. A case of intravascular papillary endothelial hyperplasia in the hypothenar eminence of a 23-year-old female fencer is described. Differential diagnosis with other similar benign and malignant lesions was made using histopathology and immunohistochemistry. The possible post-traumatic proliferative histogenesis is discussed. The non-malignant nature of the mass was confirmed after a three year follow-up.

Atypical duct hyperplasia of the breast is an unusual finding in the adolescent or young adult female. We report nine young women, ages 18-26 years (mean 21) with atypical duct hyperplasia. Hyperplasia of the coronoid processes of the mandible in a 36-year-old man was associated, in addition to difficult opening of the mouth, with noises of apparently articular origin. The noise was due to the shifting of the coronoid processes along the inner surfaces of the temporal processes of the facial bones. On the X-ray picture also the elongated styloid processes were striking as well as symmetrial exostoses at the lower borderline of the mandible and condylar processes deformed without any apparent cause.

We have described a patient with unilateral adrenal hyperplasia, a rare cause of primary aldosteronism, and reviewed the literature on this subject. The treatment of this disorder appears to be surgical. Whether its pathogenesis is related to the more common varieties of primary aldosteronism is open to speculation.

Computed tomography (CT) findings of 8 cases of thymic hyperplasia in children aged 7 to 15 years were retrospectively analyzed in comparison to 8 cases of tumors of anterior mediastinum. A 28 year old man had a swelling of the right breast. He was phenotypically and karyotypically a normal male. Microscopic examination of the excised specimen showed the pattern of cystic hyperplasia identical to that commonly seen in the female breast.
