The authors reviewed the charts of 36 patients discharged from a VA medical center with a diagnosis of essential tremor over a 10-year period for evidence of alcohol dependency or abuse and for family history of alcoholism and other psychiatric disorders. This project sought to identify Medicaid members with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) in five states (Delaware, Iowa, Massachusetts, New York, and South Carolina) to develop a cohort for subsequent analyses of medical conditions and service utilization. OBJECTIVE: The current study investigates the aspects of self-regulation skills in overweight and normal-weight children, which may be related to their overeating problems. It is hypothesised that overweight children may show poor decision-making behaviour, and this may be because of two processes: hypersensitivity to reward or future insensitivity.

Here we present the results of a retrieval analysis on a Lane plate, and a review of the history of these plates. Our patient underwent plating of her femur with a Lane plate in 1938. Fifty-eight patients with cleft palate only who had received treatment in the Department of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery at the University of Iowa were examined for treatment results. PURPOSE: The attitudes of substance abuse counselors can have significant effects on their client's recovery. This study examined the attitudes and knowledge of substance abuse counselors regarding lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgendered (LGBT) clients.
