Some tumors are known to produce alkaline phosphatase (ALP). Seven cases of uterine leiomyosarcoma were identified from the clinical records of Sakai City Medical Center from January 2006 to December 2014. Patients' ages ranged from 47 to 75 years (median: 58). Clinical stages were IB, IIB, IIIA, and IVB in four, one, one, and one cases, respectively. Uterine myxoid leiomyosarcoma (MLMS) is a rare tumor that requires modified diagnostic criteria compared with conventional leiomyosarcoma. Primary leiomyosarcoma arising from the ovarian vein is extremely rare, with only 10 cases reported in the literature. We report on a case of leiomyosarcoma of the left ovarian vein in a 67-year-old woman who presented with abdominal discomfort. INTRODUCTION: Leiomyosarcoma is a malignant soft tissue tumor that can arise from any tissue containing smooth muscle. Uterine leiomyosarcoma (LMS) is a rare tumor constituting 1% of all uterine malignancies. This sarcoma demonstrates an aggressive growth pattern with an high rate of recurrence with hematologic dissemination; the most common sites are lung, liver, and peritoneal cavity, head and neck district being rarely interested. A 22-year-old young woman presented with dysuria and lower urinary tract symptoms that had persisted for 6 months. She was diagnosed with a tumor near the bladder neck. INTRODUCTION: Uterine leiomyosarcoma is an aggressive malignant tumor that often leads to metastatic dissemination, generally in the lungs, liver, brain, and bones. Despite the fact that pancreatic neoplasms spread easily, the pancreas is not a usual target organ from other neoplasms.

In the literature, there is no reported pediatric leiomyosarcoma case that has metastasized from the small intestine to the adrenal gland. A 10-year-old boy who had anemia and weight loss over 2 years presented with abdominal pain that began 1 week previously. Radiologic examination revealed bilateral adrenal tumors. INTRODUCTION: Primary leiomyosarcoma of the broad ligament (LBL) is a very rare and highly malignant gynecological tumor.
MATERIALS AND METHODS: A 45 year old hysterectomized woman with this rare tumor is presented. Treatment consisted of resection of the tumor along with omental and peritoneal sampling and adjuvant chemotherapy. No evidence of metastasis was present after 15 months of follow up.
CONCLUSION: Complete surgery along with adjuvant chemotherapy or radiation and a close follow up for recurrence are advocated to optimize disease free survival.

BACKGROUND: Leiomyosarcomas are rare tumours, predominantly localized in the stomach, small intestine and retroperitoneum. Only one case of primary leiomyosarcoma of the spleen is described in human beings in literature.
CASE PRESENTATION: We report a case of locally advanced primary leiomyosarcoma of the spleen in a 54 year-old woman, diagnosed only after splenectomy, performed with the suspicion of splenic haematoma.
CONCLUSION: Due to the lack of cases, no specific chemotherapy regimen has been tested to provide a longer survival.
