We report three cases of synchronous multiple thymoma diagnosed at a single hospital during the 10 years since 1999. Two were accompanied by myasthenia gravis (MG). In two patients, two thymomas were detected by preoperative computed tomography (CT), and in one, a microthymoma was found incidentally on pathologic examination of a resected specimen for gross thymoma and thymus. Intracranial capillary hemangiomas are very rare, though several spinal capillary hemangiomas have recently been reported. We report here a case of intracranial capillary hemangioma with multiple cysts and review the current literature of similar cases. Synchronous parotid neoplasms, especially synchronous neoplasms of two separate and histologically different types, are extremely uncommon. A review of the literature revealed that most reported cases were either a combination of two distinct benign neoplasms or a benign neoplasm and another malignant tumor. To the best of our knowledge, there has been no report of synchronous unilateral double primary carcinomas of the parotid gland. Here we report a 39-year-old woman who exhibited basal cell adenocarcinoma and mucoepidermoid carcinoma simultaneously in the left parotid gland.

BACKGROUND: Teratomas of the greater omentum are rare. In most cases, they are composed of mature tissue elements and behave clinically in a benign fashion.
CASE: A 62-year-old woman with a history of bilateral salpingo-oophorectomy due to ectopic pregnancy was found to have multiple cystic teratomas of the omentum. There was a histologic evidence of a sequential transition from benign through borderline to obviously invasive adenocarcinoma within the lining of the cysts as well as peritoneal dissemination.

We report a case of synchronous bilateral renal carcinoma treated by partial nephrectomy on the right and total nephrectomy on the left. Follow-up at 42 months after surgery showed no recurrence of the disease. Coexistence of renal cell carcinoma and angiomyolipoma in the same kidney is rare. A 54-year-old woman without tuberous sclerosis was admitted for further examination of incidental renal masses on ultrasonography. Computerized tomography revealed a 17-mm high density mass in the mediolateral portion of the right kidney and a 5-mm low density mass near the right lower pole. Because the former mass showed a typical tumor pattern on selective renal angiography and the latter mass was strongly hyperechoic on ultrasonography, a clinical diagnosis of renal cell carcinoma and angiomyolipoma was made.

An unusual case of mantle cell lymphoma metastasising to squamous cell carcinoma of the oesophagus, in a 62 year old Chinese man, is reported.
