METHODS: SD rats were given 0.25% lead acetate by food intake and were given 10 mg.kg-1.d-1, 20 mg.kg-1.d-1 and 30 mg.kg-1.d-1 potassium iodide from drinking water in respective groups, in order to look for the dose of KI which prevents lead poisoning.
