Mutations that cause antibiotic resistance often produce associated fitness costs. She was given standard oral anti-TB chemotherapy including isoniazid, rifampin, pyrazinamide, and streptomycin. A live, streptomycin dependent, Pasteurella multocida (SDPM) serotype A:12 vaccine was evaluated for preventing pasteurellosis in two commercial rabbitries. Rabbits were inoculated intranasally at 5 weeks old with either 0.25 ml of vaccine containing 10(8) colony forming units/ml or 0.25 ml of diluent (control).
