Organic semiconductors, which serve as the active component in devices, such as solar cells, light-emitting diodes and field-effect transistors1, often exhibit highly unipolar charge transport, meaning that they predominantly conduct either electrons or holes. This case report describes the treatment of a 25-year-old woman with a severe open bite. This patient presented a grade Ⅲ open bite, considerably thin alveolar bone, and evident labial buccal and lingual root form. Here we test the hypothesis that the neurodegenerative process in Parkinson's disease (PD) moves stereotypically along neural networks, possibly reflecting the spread of toxic alpha-synuclein molecules. BACKGROUND: The aim of our study was to evaluate the clinical outcomes after Keraring implantation for keratoconus in patients with thin corneas.
PATIENTS AND METHODS: Ten eyes from 10 patients with keratoconus, who underwent femtosecond laser-assisted Keraring implantation for keratoconus, were included in this retrospective study. Uncorrected visual acuity (UCVA), corrected visual acuity (CDVA), keratometric readings, central corneal thickness and thinnest corneal pachymetry have been evaluated preoperatively and 6 months after the Keraring implantation.

Topicalisation of the airway by various techniques has routinely been recommended for awake fibre-optic bronchoscopy in cases of difficult airway. Although thinning of the IA wall is thought to contribute to IA rupture, the underlying mechanism remains poorly understood. The healing properties of hyaluronic acid (HA) in the recovery of wounds are well known. Cefoxitin (Cef), a cephalosporin antibiotic, is generally used to prevent and treat postoperative infections. We examined a group of 83 patients (57 children and 26 adults) with thin basement membrane disease and 17 patients with Alport syndrome. We compared the clinical data and, above all, the morphological patterns of both disease entities, with particular focus on not very advanced changes which might lead to a misdiagnosis due to the non-detection of the early stages of Alport syndrome.
