Medial malleolus fractures, as a kind of common ankle fractures, could occur separately or be accompanied by lateral and posterior malleolus fractures. INTRODUCTION: Recently, some authors have postulated the existence of the so-called <<obsessive spectrum>>. This would include disorders that have the common point of the presence of repetitive thoughts and actions, which may either have a <<compulsive>> or <<impulsive>> nature. Certain neurological disorders with repetitive movements have also been grouped within this spectrum, including some forms of epilepsy, Parkinson's disease, Sydenham's Chorea or Huntington's disease. Twenty-five patients presenting with stage I primary orbital and/or ocular adnexal lymphoma from May 1990 through January 1997 were retrospectively reviewed at National Taiwan University Hospital. Staging workups included physical examination, chest radiography, blood analysis, whole-body CT scan, CSF examination and bone marrow biopsy. A premenopausal woman having a totally occlusive distal urethral stricture, with suprapubic catheter (SPC) in situ, was referred to us for a definitive procedure. Presented is a case of idiopathic priapism that was successfully treated with inhalation of amyl nitrite. Routine treatment measures had failed. The same patient presented on several other occasions in a similar fashion. Each time amyl nitrite was successful. An investigation for diseases known to be associated with priapism proved negative. Due to the frequency of recurrences, definitive surgical management was offered. The patient refused and has been lost to follow up.

Adrenal incidentalomas represent a true problem both in the clinical diagnosis and in their treatment. OBJECTIVE: The study sought to identify predictors of noncompliance with medication in a cohort of patients with schizophrenia after discharge from acute hospitalization.
METHODS: Adult psychiatric inpatients with schizophrenia or schizoaffective disorder for whom oral antipsychotics were prescribed (N=213) were evaluated at hospital discharge and three months later to assess medication compliance. BACKGROUND: Noncompliance with medication is a very common feature among bipolar patients. Rates of poor compliance may reach 64% for bipolar disorders, and noncompliance is the most frequent cause of recurrence.
