BACKGROUND: Primary malignant melanoma of the urethra is a rare tumour that most commonly affects the meatus and distal urethra. General prognosis seems to be poor. To date, there have been no systematic reviews on this topic. Therefore, we aimed to gain more insight into this rare type of tumour.

Severe urinary tract injury is a relatively uncommon occurrence after the placement of a tension-free vaginal tape sling. Aphallia is a rare urogenital anomaly. It usually coexists with other serious anomalies, which are incompatible with normal life. We present herewith a 18-month-old child who presented with aphallia and urethro-scrotal fistula along with stones in the bladder and urethra. The stones were removed and the fistula was surgically corrected.

We report two cases of female urethral diverticula. A 49-year-old woman (case 1) complained of perineal pain when she voided urine. A 36-year-old woman (case 2) complained of perineal pain. Urethral trauma after fracture of the pelvis is rare in women due to the mobility and short length of the urethra, which is consequently better protected in the case of trauma than the male urethra. Vaginal trauma is sometimes associated due to the intimate contact between the urethra and vagina. A pelvic and perineal examination must be systematically performed in all women presenting with pelvic trauma to avoid the morbidity resulting from late diagnosis of urethral trauma. Early surgical operation allows precise repair of the lesions, ensuring a good functional result.

OBJECTIVE: To report a case of urethral carcinoma presenting as scrotal abscess.
METHODS: A 53-year-old man presented with swelling, redness and pain in the scrotum. He had a history of urethral stricture and multiple scrotal abscesses. Incision and drainage were performed and the patient was treated with antibiotics without improvement. Incision and drainage were repeated and a biopsy of the tissue edges of the abscess were performed.
