To evaluate if Chlamydia trachomatis IgG serology combined with hysterosalpingography can make it easier to detect tuboperitoneal factor infertility, we conducted a chart review of 76 consecutive patients at an infertility practice at West Virginia University from 1999-2001. We checked the charts for results of Chlamydia trachomatis IgG serology, Hysterosalpingography (HSG) and laparoscopy. Chordoma is a rare, slow-growing but locally aggressive malignant tumor derived from the primitive notochord and located along the axial skeleton. Between 1973 and 1991, of 15 patients with chordomas treated at the Medical College of Virginia, eight originated in the sacrococcygeal area. Screening interviews to determine the extent of physical abuse were conducted for 742 women seen in the University of Virginia obstetric clinics. Eighty-one women (10.9%) reported that they had experienced abuse at some point in the past. These women were more likely to be divorced or separated, indigent, and less educated than were the non-abused control patients. They were more likely to have had emotional problems, and 20% had attempted suicide. Social determinants of health (SDOH) significantly influence the risk of chronic kidney disease (CKD), particularly in underserved populations. The Designing Equitable Care for Kidneys (DECK) study examined the relationship between CKD risk and unmet SDOH in Richmond, Virginia's East End, a historically redlined area with high social vulnerability.
