There is little data on the distribution of biomonitoring parameters in patients at outpatient Units of Environmental Medicine (UEM). We evaluated the biomonitoring parameters of 646 UEM outpatients from our University Hospital 1988-1998. Few patients were exposed to specific substances. Regular usage of cosmetic products and drugs in dermatological vehicles may cause irritant contact dermatitis. Aluminum-hydrogen compounds have drawn considerable interest for applications in solid-state hydrogen storage. The structural, hydrogen storage, electronic, mechanical, phonon, and thermodynamic properties of XAl2H2 (X = Ca, Sr, Sc, Y) hydrides are investigated using density functional theory.
