Capsule Endoscopy (CE) is a recently developed noninvasive technique for imaging of small bowel pathologies. It is a swallowable wireless mini-camera for getting images of the gastrointestinal (GI) mucosa. General indications of CE are obscure bleeding, iron deficiency anemia, Crohn disease, abdominal pain, polyposis coli, celiac disease and small bowel tumors. Obstruction must be excluded with small bowel radiography before using CE. Bowel preparation can be recommended for good visualization. The main indication is obscure GI bleeding. OBJECTIVE: To evaluate the clinical utility of capsule endoscopy in diagnosing small bowel disease.
METHODS: A retrospective review of 155 cases undergone capsule endoscopy examinations from September 2002 to March 2007 in our hospital were performed. Gastric and small bowel transit time, patient tolerability, number of complete and incomplete examinations, and examination findings were evaluated.

OBJECTIVE: Intestinal Behçet's Syndrome (BS) is a difficult diagnosis to establish. We describe the use of wireless capsule endoscopy (WCE) in the investigation of 11 patients with suspected intestinal BS.

We describe a new scleral fixation technique for posterior chamber intraocular lens (IOL) implantation in eyes with partial or total loss of the posterior capsule or zonule support. This technique uses a scleral incision that can be completed in less time than a conventional scleral flap and prevents unnecessary trauma to the eye.
