Comprehensive toxicological studies of the herbicide acetochlor are presented and discussed. IMPORTANCE: The subtype of pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma cancer (PDAC) with DNA damage repair (DDR) deficiency from BRCA1/2 variants has a favorable prognosis and is sensitive to platinum analogues and poly-(adenosine diphosphate-ripose) polymerase (PARP) inhibition with olaparib. Approximately 10% to 20% of patients with PDAC have DDR genetic alterations other than germline BRCA variants. This population has been termed as having BRCAness.
