BACKGROUND: A 16-year-old boy with penilurethra anomaly was admitted to our clinic. This is a case description of a hypospadiac congenital urethrocutaneous fistula of the anterior urethra.
METHODS/RESULTS: After the chordee was corrected by removing dysgenetic tissue in urethral plate, urethral defect was repaired with tranverse preputial island flap.

We report a case of a patient with repeated intractable pneumonia due to congenital and acquired esophagobronchial fistula that was relieved by surgery. The patient was a 69-year-old female, who had repeatedly developed pneumonic symptoms since December 2000. PURPOSE: Vesicovaginal fistula may be a complication of urogynecologic surgery. We describe the technique of laparoscopic repair of vesicovaginal fistula as performed at our 2 institutions.

We report a 9-month-old child with anorectal anomaly which was surgically treated in the neonatal period for a colostomy and was referred to us for a definitive procedure. The child had features suggestive of low anorectal abnormality; however, investigations indicated that he had a supralevator type of imperforate anus associated with a rectopenile subcutaneous fistula. The surgical treatment of this infant is discussed.

The fistula between kidney and duodenum is rare. It occurs mostly in case of pyonephrotic kidney. The authors report one case of renoduodenal fistula, discovered peroperatively in 41 years old man who underwent a subcapsular nephrectomy for right pyonephrosis upon pelvic lithiasis. Through a review of literature, the authors discuss diagnostic aspects of this complication.

We report a case of myiasis of a rectocutaneous fistula in a subject suffering from bone metastases after surgical resection of a neoplastic bladder. The fistula was infested by maggots identified as third-instar larvae of flies belonging to the family Sarcophagidae, genus Sarcophaga. The infestation was neither intestinal nor pseudointestinal; it was probably caused by a fly ovipositing on the fistula of the patient while having wound care at home, even though the possibility that the infestation might have occurred during hospitalization cannot be ruled out.
