Copper-based materials are promising for formaldehyde oxidation to produce hydrogen but suffer from degradation caused by soluble copper ions in alkaline electrolytes. In this report, a novel Cu1.2Pd0.8/CC alloy electrocatalyst is developed to address this issue. The catalyst drives formaldehyde oxidation at 0.2 V to produce a current density of 50 mA cm-2. INTRODUCTION AND AIMS: Oxytocin (OT) is a neuropeptide hormone secreted by the posterior pituitary gland. Deficits in OT action have been observed in patients with behavioral and mood disorders, some of which correlate with an increased risk of cardiovascular disease (CVD). We present a unique case of massive splenomegaly, hepatomegaly, and lymphadenopathy caused by lipid-laden macrophages in a 50 year old white female with short-bowel syndrome treated with long-term total parenteral nutrition. Several factors hamper the clinical and histologic diagnosis of panniculitis.
