INTRODUCTION: While certain occupations, such as agriculture and fishery, have been associated with an increased risk of lip cancer, the occupational risk profile of lip cancer and its change over time remain poorly known. A case of intestinal ganglioneuromatosis associated with medullary thyroid carcinoma, bilateral pheochromocytoma, mucosal neuromas and marfanoid habitus is reported. To our knowledge, only ten previous cases of intestinal ganglioneuromatosis associated with mucosal neuromas and medullary carcinoma of the thyroid have been reported. Whilst this reflects regional or population differences in risk, interpretation is uncertain due to heterogeneity of definitions of sites and of sub-sites within this anatomically diverse region. BACKGROUND: Myofibroma is a solitary benign tumor of myofibroblasts. Myofibromatosis describes multiple, simultaneous myofibromas at different sites in various organs. The clinico-pathologic correlations of myofibroma/myofibromatosis confined only to oral soft tissues were analyzed.

Epithelioid hemangioma, also named angiolymphoid hyperplasia with eosinophilia, is a very rare tumor that arises from vascular structures. The relative incidence in the skin of the head and neck area is rather high as compared to other parts of the body. Three cases are reported in an atypical location and the differential diagnosis with other similar vascular lesions and their pathologic features is presented.

A diffuse choroidal tumor developed in the right eye of a 64-year-old man ten years after excision of a primary malignant melanoma of the lip and a bilateral neck dissection for regional lymph node metastasis. His clinical presentation suggested the diagnosis of choroidal malignant melanoma metastatic from the skin, but histopathologic evaluation of the tumor demonstrated it to be a primary diffuse choroidal malignant melanoma.
