After gut tube patterning in early embryos, the cellular and molecular changes of developing stomach and intestine remain largely unknown. Here, combining single-cell RNA sequencing and spatial RNA sequencing, we construct a spatiotemporal transcriptomic landscape of the mouse stomach and intestine during embryonic days E9.5-E15.5. In the liver, ductal cells rarely proliferate during homeostasis but do so transiently after tissue injury. These cells can be expanded as organoids that recapitulate several of the cell-autonomous mechanisms of regeneration but lack the stromal interactions of the native tissue. This paper presents evidence that lysosomal-mediated cell death and extracellular matrix degradation are important events in addition to cell death by apoptosis. The author proposes the use of the term interdigital cell death- extracellular matrix degradation instead of interdigital apoptosis. Sutures are fibrous joints in the vertebrate skull. They consist of two bone ends and intervening fibrous tissue which differentiates from embryonic mesenchyme. Sutures are not merely articulations between bones they are primary sites of osteogenesis mediating much of the growth of the face and skull vault. In this chapter the development of sutures will be described including the origin of sutural tissues, the determinants of suture location, and suture morphology. In this paper we attempt to explain the abnormality of a simelian foetus with reference to our present knowledge of vertebrate development. A spontaneous unilateral hyphaema in a 75-year-old woman, due to bleeding from iris vessels, a remnant of the pupillary membrane, was observed. Hyphaema was completely resorbed after 24 h. Fluorescein angiography showed the presence of a blood circulation in the anomalous vessels and a diffusion of fluorescein from saccular dilatations on the inferior vessel.
