This study describes the quality of care in nursing homes in Taiwan using demographic data, functional status measures, resident clinical care outcomes, and resident's ratings of satisfaction with nursing home care. Three hundred and eight randomly selected elderly residents in 13 nursing homes were interviewed through a structured interview process and demographic and medical information was collected from their nursing home records.
