In the current work, new benzodioxole-based dithiocarbamate derivatives were synthesized via the reaction of N-(1,3-benzodioxol-5-ylmethyl)-2-chloroacetamide with appropriate sodium salts of N,N-disubstituted dithiocarbamic acids. A robust, selective, and highly efficient method for the preparation of 1,3,4-triaryl 1,2,3-triazolium salts has been developed. It features arylation of a click triazole with a diaryliodonium salt in the presence of a copper catalyst under neat conditions. The presence of pyridine functionality is tolerated, enabling the first access to key precursors of pyridyl-mesoionic carbene ligands. The method has been integrated into a one-pot protocol with terminal alkyne, sodium azide, and diaryliodonium salt as starting compounds.

In this study, a conductometric titration method is proposed for the determination of phenothiazine derivatives in pure and dosage forms. The measurements were carried out in aqueous solution using sodium arsenite as titrant. The breaks in conductometric titration curves have been advantageously utilised for the quantitative determination of these drugs in pharmaceutical preparations. The method was found highly accurate and precise, having a relative standard deviation of less than 1.0% for all solutions containing from 1 to 25 mg of phenothiazine derivative compounds.

Chemical inactivation of pathogen of Creutzfeldt-Jakob disease (CJD) was examined using the mouse-adapted CJD strain. A high concentration of formic acid, guanidine compounds, trichloroacetate and phenol prevented CJD transmission. NaOH between 0.25 and 2 N lengthened the incubation periods. Sodium dodecyl sulfate (SDS) in a concentration between 1 and 3% did not alter incubation at room temperature but did completely block the transmission after boiling for 3 min in 3% SDS. This method is recommended for practical disinfection.
