This work is a descriptive cross-sectional study that aimed to assess by means of an online survey the well-being and psychological impact, mainly depression, anxiety, stress and post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), experienced by the general population after the end of lockdown following the COVID-19 pandemic. Barriers to performing effective hand hygiene include lack of time and the poor cosmetic acceptability of many of the available hand decontaminants.
