OBJECTIVE: Management of aortic arch disease (AAD) is complex due to its involvement in multiple aortic segments and the variety of patient presentations. We compared the clinical outcomes of conventional aortic arch repair (CAAR) and the Frozen Elephant Trunk (FET) technique across the main clinical indications: acute type A aortic dissection (ATAAD), chronic dissection and atheromatous aneurysm.

OBJECTIVE: Postoperative intraluminal thrombosis after frozen elephant trunk replacement has been reported to occur with a frequency of 6% to 17% and is associated with poor outcomes. The purpose of this institutional review is to analyze thrombosis rate, predisposing patient and operative factors, and assess different anticoagulation regimens.
