This is the first documented case of Phaeoacremonium parasiticum endophthalmitis to the authors' knowledge. P. parasiticum has been described in the literature causing various skin, subcutaneous and joint infections and one case of infective endocarditis, but has never been documented as an ocular infectious agent. Seven years following surgery, the child demonstrates excellent ankle and knee range of motion, has regained plantar sensation, and is able to walk, run, and jump without needing a brace. Surgery directed at veno-occlusive dysfunction in impotency has evolved since 1981, following the recognition that vascular disorders are the major source of etiology of impotency. As the diagnostic tests for concomitant arterial disease have become more sophisticated, the results for pure veno-occlusive surgery have improved. An 11-year-old girl had a lytic, benign-appearing, expansive lesion of the distal tibia radiologically interpreted as an aneurysmal bone cyst (ABC). Tissue from two extensive curettage procedures was also histologically diagnosed as ABC.
