Although syringoma of the eyelids and the cheeks are well known and defined, vulvar syringoma is a rare clinical variant of this benign eccrine tumor. A case of syringoma of the vulva exacerbated during pregnancies with regression in the periods in between is presented. Histopathological examination showed typical features of syringomas. Only 20 patients with vulvar syringoma have been previously reported in the literature.

Schwannoma is generally a solitary, nodular, benign tumor of a peripheral nerve sheath, and it rarely affects the external female genitalia. Its most-common locations are the head, neck, upper and lower extremities, posterior mediastinum, and retroperitoneum. We treated a 29-year-old woman with a vulvar schwannoma. A tumor of 2.5 cm in diameter was resected for treatment and biopsy. It was a capsulate tumor with a smooth surface, and was elastic in consistency. A 46-year-old woman developed multiple papules on the right labium majus. A histological examination revealed acanthotic epidermis and dilated vessels in the papillary dermis. The clinical and histological features were compatible with those of lymphangiectasis or acquired lymphangioma of the vulva, which occurs after surgery or irradiation for cervical cancer. This patient, however, had no such past history. Acquired lymphangioma of the vulva arising without obvious causes seems to be unusual.

We report a case of malignant large cleaved cell vulvar lymphoma predominantly affecting the clitoris, in a 60 year-old woman. In a review of the literature, female genital tract lymphomas of vulvar location are exceptional. Histologically, these tumors must be differentiated from pseudolymphomatous lesions. In the present case (Stage IE), response to chemotherapy was good and the patient remains asymptomatic after three years of follow-up.

A case of fibroepithelial polyp of labium minus with stromal atypia is described. This unusual tumor has only recently been reported occurring in the vulva. The tumor measured 12 cm in maximal diameter and its cut surface was soft and myxoid. After fixation the tumor was considerably smaller in size. The light microscopic findings were of a loose acellular myxoid stroma, traversed by thin walled dilated vascular spaces and covered by stratified squamous epithelium and with sparse fibroblast-like cells dispersed throughout. Described in this report is a systemic lymphoma which had selectively involved the Bartholin gland. The true prevalence of this phenomenon is not known, but greater attention to these areas of the genital tract may uncover additional cases and provide better insight into the natural history of lymphomas that involve the lower female genital tract.

The present casuistry study deals with condylomata acuminata-like lesions of the vulva of two sexually mature 20 and 22 years old Turkish sisters, and a 34 year old Yugoslavian women. Based on clinical and histological particularities the verruciform structures are interpreted as - atavistic? - malformation without functional significance. Their relation to the papillas of corona glans are proved in detail.

Vulvar fibroadenoma is an ectopic mammary-like fibroepithelial tumor of undetermined pathogenesis. Surgery is usually the primary option of treatment for this condition. Recurrent vulvar fibroadenoma is a rare clinical condition, and it has therapeutic challenges for surgeons and pathologists. Three cases of recurrent vulvar fibroadenoma were reviewed and studied (at 25, 39, and 18 years old for each case). We summarize and report our clinical experience on recurrent vulvar fibroadenoma. All patients were surgically managed with a satisfactory outcome and were followed up for at least 6 months

BACKGROUND: Vulvar melanoma represents a rare group of malignancies and is the second most common vulvar malignancy. Treatment options range from local excision of the tumor and sentinel lymph node dissection to radical resection involving en bloc vulvectomy and inguinofemoral lymphanedectomy. Dermatofibrosarcoma protuberans (DFSP) of the vulva is a rare, low- to intermediate-grade sarcoma of dermal origin. This case report represents the 13th reported patient with vulvar DFSP and the first reported patient with metastatic vulvar DFSP. Although metastasis is rare, the possibility remains that the frequent recurrence of DFSP will eventually metastasize. Therefore, patients must be followed up on a long-term basis to monitor the progress of this potentially lethal cancer.
