A 56-year-old woman was pointed out an abnormal shadow on chest roentgenogram. Chest CT and MRI showed a solid mass with a cyst at right anterior mediastinum. Clinical diagnosis was thymoma with cyst, and surgical excision was performed. The histopathological examination of the resected specimen demonstrated that the epithelia of the cyst wall was single cuboidal or squamous cells and contained some foci of thymic tissue. The nuclei of the pre-existing muscle cell may become hypertrophied or degrade soon after the entrance of newborn larvae. Isolated injuries to the dorsoradial capsule of the thumb metacarpophalangeal joint are rarely reported. We report 11 patients who had a tear in the dorsoradial capsule of the thumb metacarpophalangeal joint without an associated collateral ligament injury. A case of blue nevus in the lymph node capsule is described. It's not a common pathology and only few cases have been reported so far. Nevus-cell aggregates in the same location are more frequent and difference between the two entities is described. Sixty patients in Stages I and II of benign prostatic hyperplasia were treated with Peponen capsule. Out of them 26 took the drug for 10 months, 22 for at least 7, and 12 for at least 4 months. The daily dosage was 3 x 2 capsules in the first month and 3 x 1 capsule for the rest of the time. On the ground of urodynamic test results and changes in subjective complaints, more than 80% of the patients experienced improvement. The therapy intensified the uroflow, appeased dysuria, the difficult and painful discharge, and reduced the frequency of nocturnal urination.

A 59-year-old man with prostatism, in otherwise good health, was treated with transurethral prostatectomy and ketoconazole. At microscopic examination of the prostatic tissue he had acute and chronic prostatitis with granulomatous lesions, in the center of which capsular-deficient cryptococcal organisms were demonstrated. The patient was well without evidence of systemic or local infection at 22 months. The differential diagnosis of granulomatous prostatitis is discussed.

Experimental work has shown that dislocation of the shoulder may involve disruption of the capsule from its lateral humeral attachment. We report two patients with recurrent dislocation due to this injury. Lateral repair gave good results. It is suggested that this injury be considered and looked for when glenoid labral injury is minimal or absent.

Cultures were made from blood, bone marrow, stool and duodenal contents (obtained with string capsules) from 36 patients with bacteriologically proven typhoid fever on admission to hospital.
