Transbronchial cryobiopsies (CB) are increasingly replacing surgical biopsies (video-assisted thoracoscopic/VATS biopsies) for diagnosing diffuse parenchymal lung disease (interstitial lung disease, ILD), but there is very little guidance for pathologists on CB interpretation.
