Cost-effectiveness of digital health interventions for supporting mental health of children and young people: a rapid review and narrative synthesis.

Globally in 2021, about 1 in 4 children and young people (CYP) below age 25 lived with poor mental health. Various forms of digital health interventions (DHIs) have been introduced in attempts to address unmet mental healthcare needs among young people. DHIs use websites or applications in computers, tablets, or smartphones to deliver mental health interventions, which are either self-directed, or therapist guided. This rapid review synthesises the evidence on the cost-effectiveness of DHIs for supporting mental health in CYP. A literature search was carried out in MEDLINE and PsycINFO using O

The effectiveness of digital therapeutics in improving sleep quality: a systematic review and network meta-analysis.

BACKGROUND: Insomnia is a prevalent global sleep disorder. Digital therapeutics, delivered via online platforms, offer novel intervention options. However, existing systematic reviews largely focus on validating individual digital therapeutics, with limited comparative evidence across different types within a unified network. This network meta-analysis aims to evaluate the comparative effectiveness of various digital therapeutics on sleep quality, thereby providing evidence-based guidance for clinical decision-making in insomnia management. METHODS: PubMed, Cochrane Library, Embase, and Web o

[Supporting caregivers in the age of AI: the role of an ethical digital companion].

In psychiatry, mental exhaustion among caregivers stems from exposure to suffering, suicide risk, and violence, as well as organizational constraints. Despite numerous support systems, teams describe the services available as unclear and difficult to access. After describing the gray area of exhaustion, between individual experience, institutional norms, and demands for resilience, guidelines for framing digital or artificial intelligence projects presented as support for well-being can be proposed. An action plan by the Strategic Partners Initiative for Data and Digital Health, based on opera

Shared Central Symptoms but Distinct Age-Specific Patterns in Problematic Short Video Use: Evidence from a Network Analysis Across Early, Middle, and Late Adolescence.

Short video platforms have become immensely popular among adolescents. Adolescence is a crucial developmental period with distinct stages (early, middle, late); each stage is influenced by unique psychological, physiological, and social dynamics. While prior studies primarily focus on negative impacts of problematic short video use (PSVU) on adolescents, the age-specific characteristics of PSVU remain obscure, which is important for effective prevention and intervention. This study utilized network analysis to investigate the central symptoms and network structure of PSVU across early, middle,
