A 63-year-old female patient with recent diagnosis of hepatitis C and cirrhosis and no other comorbidities, on no medications, was found to have Barcelona Clinic Liver Cancer stage C hepatocellular carcinoma and began systemic therapy with sorafenib 400mg twice daily. A 47-year-old woman developed allergic contact dermatitis (ACD) to a knee brace after anterior cruciate ligament repair, manifesting as numerous erythema multiforme-like lesions. No previous cases of ACD to this Townsend Rebel knee brace, which is commonly worn postoperatively, have been reported. The patient was treated with triamcinolone ointment, cetirizine, and diphenhydramine. On follow-up, the lesions had resolved. We share this case to increase knowledge of this reaction pattern and encourage further similar reports to clarify the nature of the reaction.

Pityriasis rosea (PR) is an acute or subacute inflammatory skin disease characterized by erythematous papulosquamous eruptions localized on the trunk and arms. The eruptions are self-limiting and usually disappear gradually in 2-10 weeks, without any treatment. Typical PR is much easier to diagnose than the rare atypical forms. There is a passing mention of PR with erythema multiforme-like lesions in the literature, but no extensive case series have been published till date. We present a series of five patients for whom we believe atypical PR is the likely diagnosis.

We report on a 35-year-old woman with cutaneous lesions characterized by an erythema multiforme-like appearance localized in the photo-distributed pattern. Recurrent erythema multiforme is one of three distinct clinical subtypes of erythema multiforme. We present a 42-year-old man with a 10-year history of recurrent herpes simplex virus-induced erythema multiforme. Our patient was debilitated by the frequency of his attacks and the associated pain, for which he often required leave from work. BACKGROUND: Vancomycin-induced linear immunoglobulin A (IgA) disease, an autoimmune, blistering disease in response to vancomycin administration, is characterized by a subepidermal, vesiculobullous eruption and linear IgA deposition along the basement membrane zone on direct immunofluorescence.
CASE REPORT: We report the case of an 81-year-old man treated with vancomycin who developed diffuse erythema multiforme and tense bullae involving the palmoplantar surfaces. Discontinuation of vancomycin therapy resulted in complete resolution of this patient's cutaneous eruption.

Erythema multiforme is a skin condition frequently associated with herpes simplex virus and has a tendency to recur. Oral acyclovir has been successful in suppression of the disease. Here we report a patient who had recurrent erythema multiforme associated with recurrent polyarthritis that responded to oral acyclovir suppression therapy.

We describe a patient with lupus erythematosus who experienced an unusual erythema multiforme-like eruption suggestive of Rowell's syndrome. We compare our case and 9 other reports of lupus erythematosus associated with erythema multiforme to the 4 cases reported by Rowell. Our findings indicate that Rowell's original criteria are not well preserved. The coexistence of lupus erythematosus with erythema multiforme does not impart any unusual characteristics to either disease, and the immunologic disturbances in such patients are probably coincidental.
