A 12-year-old domestic shorthair cat was presented with neurologic signs localized to the forebrain. Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) of the brain revealed a space occupying lesion within the third and the lateral ventricles. The lesion had areas of disparate signal characteristics and exerted a mass effect on the surrounding parenchyma and ventricular system. The histologic examination identified the co-existence of two intraventricular masses: a meningioma and a choroid plexus cholesterol granuloma.

A 6-year-old, neutered male, Pembroke Welsh corgi was presented for hind limb paralysis. After anesthetic induction, marked cyanosis and hypotension were noted. OBJECTIVES: No specific therapy is available for metabolic dysfunction-associated fatty liver disease. We investigated nicotinamide riboside (NR) and dietary restriction (DR) effects in liver lipids, inflammation, histology, intestinal permeability, and gut microbiota in a cafeteria diet (CAFD)-induced obesity model.
METHODS: Adult male Wistar rats were randomly assigned to standard diet (SD) or CAFD. After 6 wk, they were subdivided into six groups-SD + vehicle (Veh) (distilled water), SD + NR (400 mg/kg), DR + Veh, DR + NR, CAFD + Veh, and CAFD + NR-for 4 wk more until euthanasia.

OBJECTIVE: To evaluate the indications for, complications of, and surgical outcomes of dogs and cats that were treated with double limb amputations.
ANIMALS: 14 dogs and 4 cats that underwent double limb amputations.
PROCEDURES: Data collected retrospectively included patient-specific (species, age, weight, breed, sex, existing comorbidities) and amputation-specific (indication for amputation, full or partial limb amputation, associated complications, need for revision surgeries) variables.
