PURPOSE: To investigate the histopathological changes due to administration of Ankaferd Blood Stopper(®) (ABS) into intraocular tissues by an anterior chamber and intravitreal injections.
METHODS: Twenty Wistar albino rats were divided into four equal groups. Group 1 was injected 0.01 mL ABS into anterior chamber. Group 2 was injected intravitreal 0.02 mL ABS. OBJECTIVE: To evaluate markers of hemostasis and their relationship to the degree of mitral regurgitation (MR) and platelet function in Cavalier King Charles Spaniels (CKCSs) with myxomatous mitral valve disease.

STUDY DESIGN: A case report.
OBJECTIVES: A case of spontaneous migration of intracranial hemostatic clip into the lumbar spinal canal causing a sacral radiculopathy and severe low back pain was presented.
SUMMARY OF BACKGROUND DATA: Only five cases have been reported in the literature. The first report was described by Oyesiku in 1986; thereafter, four cases have been reported. This serves as the first report clearly describing the relationship between the migrated site of a foreign body and neurologic symptom, as well as achieving a remission of symptom after surgical extirpation.

A heat-treated factor VIII (F VIII) concentrate (Haemate P) has been administered to patients with various types of von Willebrand's disease (vWD). The 4 activities of F VIII/vWF as well as change in the multimeric structure of vWF were then studied. Desmopressin acetate (DDAVP) is efficacious in patients with von Willebrand's disease. It additionally appears to have value in patients with uremic or aspirin-induced platelet dysfunction.
