Amyloid deposition in tracheobronchial tree is a rare presentation and counts about 1% of benign tumors in this area. A patient with hereditary hemorrhagic telangiectasia was admitted with hematuria and severe anemia after mild recurrent episodes of epistaxis. Telangiectasias were found in the skin and buccal and nasal mucosa. No defect in the coagulation mechanism was found; thrombocyte count and function were normal. Infantile cavernous hemangioma is a benign vascular tumor in childhood. Cavernous hemangiomas have a tendency of slow enlargement with subsequent complications such as ulceration and bleeding. We report a case of a large cavernous hemangioma affecting the median upper lip in an 11-year-old girl. The lesion was growing and painful on pressure. The patient felt stigmatized. BACKGROUND: Twin-to-twin transfusion syndrome (TTTS) is a serious complication of monochorionic twin gestation, which has a high risk of perinatal morbidity and mortality. Fetoscopic laser photocoagulation of the vascular anastomoses is the preferred treatment. Corneal ultrastructural changes induced by an argon fluoride excimer laser using different parameters were investigated. Twenty-eight rabbit corneas were ablated at light doses per pulse and repetition rates ranging from 25-800 mJ/cm2 and 1-100 Hz, respectively, at four different total light doses (25-150 J/cm2).
