Cardiovascular effects in viscose rayon workers exposed to carbon disulfide.

The objectives of this study were to investigate the cardiovascular effects in workers currently exposed to carbon disulfide (CS2) below the threshold limit value (TLV) of 31 mg/m3 and to determine the prevalence of coronary heart disease (CHD) after long-term exposure. 172 men (91 workers exposed to CS2 in a viscose rayon factory and 81 referent workers) were examined using a medical and job history questionnaire, Rose's questionnaire, and electrocardiography at rest, and by measuring blood pressure and serum lipids and lipoproteins. Personal exposures were monitored simultaneously with activ

Inpatient Nurses' Anticipatory Perspectives on Assistive Robots: Qualitative Study.

BACKGROUND: Assistive robots have been proposed to support nursing work by offloading routine, logistical, and physically demanding tasks. However, existing research has largely focused on postimplementation acceptance or usability, with fewer studies examining how nurses conceptualize assistive robots before routine deployment, particularly in settings where exposure remains limited. OBJECTIVE: This study aimed to explore inpatient nurses' anticipatory perspectives on assistive robots and to examine how perceived benefits, concerns, and implementation conditions are constructed at the preimp

Transforming GP practices into multiprofessional primary care centers: The role of nursing professionals (PRIMA) - study protocol for a multicenter non-randomized, controlled, parallel-group intervention study.

BACKGROUND: Germany faces increasing challenges in primary care due to demographic change, workforce shortages, and the growing prevalence of chronic conditions. Integrating nursing professionals into primary care teams may improve continuity, comprehensiveness, and efficiency of care, but evidence for the German setting remains limited. The PRIMA project (DRKS00039104) implements a new care model that transforms general practices into multiprofessional primary care centers integrating specially trained nursing professionals. The objective is a productivity- and quality-oriented reorganization

Optimizing Patient Engagement in Treatment for Opioid Use Disorder: Primary Care Team Perspectives on Influencing Factors.

BACKGROUND: Opioid use disorder (OUD) care engagement rates in primary care (PC) settings are often low. Little is known about PC team experiences when delivering OUD treatment and potential factors that influence their capacity to engage patients in treatment. Exploring PC team experiences may inform needed supports that can optimize OUD care delivery and improve outcomes for patients with OUD. OBJECTIVE: We explored multidisciplinary PC team perspectives on barriers and facilitators to engaging patients in OUD treatment. DESIGN: Qualitative study using in-depth interviews. PARTICIPANTS: P

Workforce agility: a systematic literature review and research agenda.

INTRODUCTION: The definition and operationalization of workforce agility, initially associated with multitasking abilities, have evolved to encompass aspects of adaptability, proactivity, and resilience, which are now widely accepted. However, some authors have expanded this concept by adding elements such as intelligence, collaboration, and social support, leading to confusion and disagreement on how to consistently measure workforce agility. Furthermore, the literature emphasizes the importance of workforce agility in achieving business goals and adopting innovative management models, yet it
