BACKGROUND: Surgeons work long shifts and are frequently on call. Pressure to make quick and accurate decisions along with the responsibility of performing complex procedures contribute to surgeons' high stress-levels, anxiety and altered empathy level. We aimed to study surgeons' personality and meaning in life at two different centres.

Anabolic-androgenic steroids (AAS) are primarily used to improve physical appearance and increase lean muscle mass. Due to their masculinizing properties, the majority of people using AAS are men; however, AAS use among females may increase with changing body ideals trending towards a more muscular appearance. PURPOSE: To evaluate impulsiveness in adult patients with JME and its relationship with personality traits and executive functioning.
METHODS: Patients completed psychiatric evaluation (DSM IV), Barratt Impulsiveness Scale (BIS-11), Neo Revised Personality Inventory (NEO PI-R) and executive functioning evaluation comprising Controlled Oral Word Association (COWA), Digit Span, Trail Making Tests (TMT), Stroop Test (ST) and Wisconsin Card Sorting Test (WSCT). We report a rare case of brucellosis with Parkinsonian-like tremor and simple partial motor seizure. This patient worked as a sheep butcher and the sheep were imported from brucellosis-endemic areas. He presented with classical manifestations of brucellosis; infection was confirmed using the Rose Bengal Plate and Standard Tube Agglutination tests. 27 women with rheumatoid arthritis had elevated depression and social introversion scores in the Minnesota multiple phasic personality inventory (MMPI) tests, whereas their somatic activity appeared reduced.
