Multilobular osteochondrosarcoma (MLO) of the os penis was diagnosed in a dysuric dog. Recurrence was confirmed or suspected twice over a 22-month period. This is the first reported case of MLO occurring in the os penis, and the 5th reported case of neoplasia of the os penis in the dog.

We describe 3 children presenting with hematuria, dysuria or kidney stones, and hyperoxaluria believed to be related to ingestion of excessive amounts of almond milk products. Our investigation of the oxalate content of several popular plant-based milk substitutes indicates that almond milk products are a particularly rich source of dietary oxalate. All genitourinary and urinary metabolic disturbances resolved after discontinuation of almond milk ingestion. Therefore, pediatricians should be aware of this potential link.

We report a case of a recto-urethral fistula in Crohn's disease. In our case, suprapubic cystostomy, ciprofloxacin, metronidazole, and azathioprine led to complete remission. Recto-urethral fistulas due to Crohn's disease are very uncommon. Pneumaturia, faecaluria, urinary tract infection, dysuria, and urethral discharge are the most common complaints. After complete diagnostics, immunosuppressive therapy in complicated Crohn's disease is of increasing importance. It is recommended to continue treatment after healing to prevent further complications.

A total of 112 patients with chronic bacterial prostatitis (CBP) aged 20-50 years received combined treatment including physical factors (ultrasound, sinusoidal modulated currents--SMC) and medicinal suppositories (diklofenak, vitaprost, polyoxidonium). SMC proved effective against pain syndrome, ultrasound was more effective in dysuria. Combined administration of physical factors and medicinal suppositories provided not only the best immediate results in therapy of CBP but also resulted in a stable long-term remission in most patients.

Eosinophilic cystitis (EC) is a rare form of bladder inflammation of uncertain etiology, characterized by eosinophilic inflammation of the bladder. Presenting clinical symptoms include hematuria, dysuria, frequency, and suprapubic pain. To our knowledge, there have been only two other reports of computed tomographic (CT) scan findings of EC. In both cases, the findings were thought to represent invasive bladder cancer. We present a case report of biopsy-proven EC with previously unreported CT scan findings.

Intravesical instillation of bacille Calmette-Guérin (BCG), an attenuated strain of Mycobacterium bovis, is an adjuvant immunotherapy for bladder carcinoma. Typical complications include fever, malaise, and dysuria. However, more severe complications have been reported, including granulomatous pneumonitis, BCG sepsis, and vascular infections. We present a case of an infrarenal abdominal aortic aneurysm complicated by iliopsoas abscess 2 years after BCG treatment and discuss a novel diagnostic tool for mycobacterial strain identification.

Sixty-three patients with cerebral palsy and micturition disorders were investigated. The age ranged between 5.5 and 38 years (mean 13.5). Half had diplegia: one-third had quadriplegia and were therefore dependent incontinence was the most common symptom: dysuria was noted in half of the cases, mainly in quadriplegic patients. The urodynamic assessment confirmed the dysfunction and showed hyperreflectivity with or without asynergy. However, no therapeutic approach has been validated.

A 35-year-old man presented with cough, expectoration of green sputum, and right-sided pleuritic chest pain. Symptoms had begun the previous day and he had vomited the night before. Bacterial, fungal, and parasitic uropathogens have small but significant roles as causative agents in naturally occurring feline lower urinary tract disease. However, the exact cause of hematuria, dysuria, and/or urethral obstruction remains unknown in a large percentage of cats. Feline calicivirus, feline syncytia-forming virus, bovine herpesvirus-4, mycoplasmas, and ureaplasmas are potential uropathogens whose etiopathogenic roles in idiopathic feline lower urinary tract disease remain, as of yet, unresolved.

We present 56 patients with urethral calculi. In males the commonest location was the posterior urethra; 46 patients complained of dysuria but urinary retention was present in only 7. In 9 patients with penile urethral calculi, 6 had associated urethral disease (urethral stricture in 5 and urethral diverticula in 1). Transurethral litholapaxy or lithotripsy after retrograde manipulation was performed in 33 patients. Endoscopic manipulation was found to be the safest procedure.

Preoperative urodynamic examinations are an important supplement to our diagnostic repertoire in cases of adenoma of the vesical cervix. Flow measurement should always be carried out. In routine practice further urodynamic examinations are only indicated in uncertain cases. Exact preoperative diagnosis will greatly improve the results of adenectomy. Persistent dysuria or incontinence are always an indication for post operative urodynamic examinations. Here efficient therapy is made possible by exact diagnosis.

We present the case of a 38-year-old male with a past presumed history of traumatic genitourinary injury. Twenty-one years later, he presented with dysuria, urinary frequency, and urinary urgency and was found to have membranous stricture as well as a urethral diverticulum filled with calculi. For this rare case, we elected surgical management via urethroplasty and a urethral diverticulectomy. We present his clinical course and brief review of the diagnosis and management of male urethral diverticula.

Urethral duplication is an extremely rare condition discovered in adults where most of them are diagnosed in childhood. Overall, it has 3 types according to Effman et al. The authors presented a case of an adult male complaining of dysuria, who was diagnosed with urethral duplication type IIB after performing retrograde urethrography and micturating cystourethrography. This is an extremely rare type of duplication of the urethra (type IIB) with late presentation. Further study may be required regarding the surgical management.
