OBJECTIVES: The aim of this study was to describe a case of uterovaginal prolapse managed with robotic-assisted sacral colpopexy complicated by severe right-sided hydronephrosis despite normal intraoperative cystoscopy.
METHODS: A 68-year-old woman presented with a worsening vaginal bulge over the past 2 years. Tricompartment stage 2 uterovaginal prolapse, with dominant cystocele and skin erosion at the posterior fourchette from prolapse friction, was identified on physical examination, and the patient underwent pelvic reconstructive surgery, including sacral colpopexy.

Renal lymphangiectasia is a rare disorder which may present as perirenal or peripelvic collection. Isolated renal sinus lymphangiectasia is a close differential diagnosis for pelviureteric junction obstruction on ultrasound, but can be resolved without ambiguity using computed tomography and magnetic resonance imaging. Here we describe such a case where imaging helped avoid unnecessary confusion.

Orofaciodigital syndromes (OFDS) are a group of diseases classified according to the phenotype and the mode of inheritance. We report on a female patient with ocular hypertelorism, broad nasal root, midline cleft of the upper lip, lobulated tongue, polydactyly of both hands, polysyndactyly of the right big toe and fifth toe, and polydactyly of the left foot. These clinical manifestations resembled OFDS type I. Other associated features included congenital heart defect, bilateral hydronephrosis, and vaginal atresia. To our knowledge, this is the first reported case of OFDS with vaginal atresia.

This case report presents an unusual and challenging case of an 82-year-old female patient who presented with constipation and abdominal pain and was diagnosed with bowel perforation and hydronephrosis caused by an ingested chicken wishbone. This patient was treated with emergency laparotomy and bowel sigmoid resection. She made a good recovery and was discharged home. The patient's clinical presentation, diagnostic challenges, and successful management are discussed.

Endometriosis presents a diagnostic conundrum due to its diverse clinical manifestations, ranging from asymptomatic to acute obstructive uropathy.
