From 1977 to 1983, 44 cases with nevus cells in the capsule and trabeculae of axillary lymph node specimens from about 7000 mastectomies performed for primary breast cancer were found. This finding was therefore less than 1%. In 3 cases, the nevus cells were present in 2 nodes, whereas in 41 cases solitary nodes were involved. In 13 cases, nevus cells were present in nodes that also contained metastatic carcinoma. Silver impregnation of reticulin fibers is very useful for the differential diagnosis of nodal metastases of breast carcinoma.

Nevus lipomatosus cutaneus superficialis is a rare idiopathic abnormality characterized by isolated dermal collections of adipose tissue. The lesions usually are either congenital or present by the third decade of life and occur predominantly in the pelvic-girdle area. Becker's nevus is an uncommon, unilateral, hyperpigmented, hairy cutaneous hamartoma which usually begins in adolescence. Its clinical features and its occurrence mainly in male individuals suggest that androgen stimulation may play a role in its pathogenesis. Three cases of oral blue nevus are presented. A comparison of the ultrastructural features of blue nevus cells with those of schwannoma cells indicates that, among other similarities, both exhibit a surrounding external lamina (basement membrane). Fourteen patients (ten women, four men) with iris nevus (Cogan-Reese) syndrome, all having unilateral glaucoma, were studied clinically. Nevus sebaceous (NS) presents as alopecia and yellowish discoloration during infantile stage. In adult stage, lesions become verrucous. Importantly, various appendageal tumors such as trichoblastoma, syringocystadenoma papilliferum and basal cell carcinoma develop during this stage. Hence it is very important to follow the course of NS for early detection of neoplasms. We are presenting a case of a 10-year-old patient with a dome-shaped, dark-pigmented nodule on the left side of neck nape, which later diagnosed as NS and removed with a carbon dioxide laser.

BACKGROUND: Giant congenital melanocytic nevus (GCMN) is characterized by its large size and potential for transformation into melanoma. It can be associated with other neural cristopathies, including neurofibroma, however, it has not previously been described with a congenital neurofibroma.
CASE REPORT: A newborn girl presented with a large congenital neurofibroma arising in a bathing trunk type of giant congenital melanocytic nevus.
CONCLUSION: Congenital neurofibromas can be associated with (or a component of) a GCMN.

Becker's nevus (BN) is a cutaneous hamartoma which is characterized by circumscribed hyperpigmentation with hypertrichosis. Recent studies have revealed that BN patients harbored postzygotic ACTB mutations, which were restricted to arrector pili muscle lineage. We screened for ACTB mutations in 20 Chinese patients with BN and found that recurrent mutations (c.C439A or c.C439T) in ACTB were detected in the majority of BN patients.
