Malignant fibrous histiocytoma (MFH) is a soft-tissue sarcoma originating from fibroblast cells, characterized by a high rate of metastasis or recurrence. With only 4 cases described in the available English literature up to now, gastric metastasis of MFH is extremely rare. Among them only one case has been reported to lead to gastrointestinal bleeding. We report a case of idiopathic retroperitoneal fibrosis presenting with duodenal obstruction. A 55-year-old man suddenly developed severe epigastric pain and was admitted to our hospital. On abdominal computed tomography (CT), a large retroperitoneal mass was found. Hypotonic duodenography showed obstruction of the third portion of the duodenum. He was diagnosed as idiopathic retroperitoneal fibrosis and was treated with prednisolone. The patient improved dramatically. He has been well for twelve months without any further treatment.

Perirenal retroperitoneal fibrosis (RPF) is a rare disease. RPF typically presents as a proliferation of fibrous tissue around the infrarenal aorta and the common iliac arteries. Rarely, RPF will only involve the perirenal space. We present the case of a 62-year-old man who was incidentally discovered to have isolated perirenal RPF.

We experienced a rare case of pseudomyxoma that progressed into the retroperitoneum. This patient presented with complaints of polyuria and back pain. CT and MRI showed a retroperitoneal cystic tumor. Cryptococcoma is a rare entity, characterized by solid, space-occupying masses, usually found in the brain. It has been reported in the setting of "paradoxical" immune reconstitution inflammatory syndrome.
