Cutaneous necrotizing vasculitis is a heterogeneous group of disorders characterized clinically by palpable purpura, and histologically by a segmental angiocentric inflammatory condition with fibrinoid necrosis of the vessel wall, endothelial swelling, and nuclear dust of the post capillary venules. We report a case of angioimmunoblastic T-cell lymphoma (AITL) in a 48-year-old Japanese male. Progression of nonischemic central retinal vein occlusion (CRVO) to ischemic CRVO occurs in up to 5-20% of patients with nonischemic CRVO. The authors performed fluorescein fundus angiography in 130 eyes using a scanning laser ophthalmoscope (SLO). Capillaries were observed in the perifoveal area in 63 eyes.
