Representing less than 1% of all traumatic injuries, diaphragmatic injuries are uncommon and are usually associated with injuries in other thoracic and abdominal organs. We report a case of a diaphragmatic injury in a 38-year-old man who presented to the Emergency Department due to a pedestrian-vehicle accident. A 68-year-old male with end-stage renal disease, congestive heart failure, and facial and bilateral arm swelling was referred for placement of a tunneled dialysis catheter. Pulmonary arteriovenous malformations (PAVM) are abnormal communications between the pulmonary arteries and pulmonary veins. The large majority are congenital and are commonly associated with Rendu-Osler-Weber disease or hereditary haemorrhagic telangiectasia. Haemothorax is presence of blood in pleural cavity and is usually caused by chest trauma. Spontaneous rib fractures leading to haemothorax due to excessive coughing has seldom been described in the literature. We report an unusual case with asthma exacerbation who developed intense coughing followed by chest pain, breathlessness, and widespread bruising, without trauma or coagulopathy. INTRODUCTION: Thoracic endometriosis (TE) is a rare disorder affecting women during their reproductive years. Manifestations of TE include pneumothorax and haemothorax. Treatment is based on surgical and hormonal therapy that aims at eradicating existing endometrial thoracic plaques and to prevent reseeding from pelvic endometriosis.
CASE REPORT: We report the case of a 36 year-old young woman presenting thoracic endometriosis revealed by a recurring spontaneous, large and isolated right haemothorax. Diagnosis, pathogeny and treatment are discussed.

Extensive traumatic haemothorax is a life-threatening condition that requires the surgeon's resolute approach. Massive bleeding may first lead to hypovoleamic shock, then to haemorrhagic shock.
