In essential tremor (ET) research, it is important to obtain standardized, objective data on tremor severity. Often, it is not possible to carry out in-person or videotaped neurological examinations. In place of these, handwriting samples can be collected, but they do not capture all of the variance in tremor severity. In the mid-1990s, the advent of powered instrumentation, in particular the microdebrider, advanced the surgeon's ability to treat polypoid disease, sinus and nasal disease in a bleeding field, choanal atresia, antral choanal polyps, and inferior turbinate hypertrophy. OBJECTIVE: To explore the new classification and marking method for traumatic deviated nose treated by septo-rhinoplasty.
METHODS: Twenty-six selected cases of traumatic deviated nose were analysed. There were 5 C-type cases, 12 O-type cases and 9 S-type cases. Deviated parameters were measured before and after operation. All patients were treated by seven-step method.

We compared computed tomographic virtual rhinosinus endoscopy (VRS) and conventional fiberoptic endoscopy (FE) for the detection of inflammatory-obstructive rhinosinusal disease. We recruited 158 patients; 100 (group A) had inflammatory-obstructive rhinosinus disease, and 58 (group B) had a history of rhinosinus surgery. The author presents a case of secondary rhinoplasty in patient with cleft lip nose deformity. The preoperative computer planning and the stages of the surgery were observed. Good functional and cosmetic postoperative results were achieved by means of bone-cartilage autograft--a fragment taken from nasal dorsum and implanted in the nasal tip region. There is almost complete concurrence between the preoperative computer modeling and the good postoperative results.

We report four children with linear eruptions on the nose, with overlapping features of lichen striatus and linear cutaneous lupus erythematosus. However, linear lupus erythematosus has rarely been reported, and lichen striatus, although classically linear, rarely affects the face. The linear distribution of lesions from the glabella to the ala nasi may represent distribution following Blaschko's lines.
