STUDY DESIGN: We performed a population-based retrospective cohort study of all Ohio births from 2006 to 2007. Composite neonatal morbidity consisting of Apgar score < 7 at 5 minutes, assisted ventilation > 6 hours, neonatal transport, or seizures was compared between singletons and twins from 34 to 41 weeks.

STUDY DESIGN: A retrospective chart review was performed of all patients seeking infertility evaluation from 1998 to 1999 at two infertility centers in Cincinnati, Ohio. Patients were categorized by race (white, black, or other). Statistics were analyzed by chi2 and logistic regression.

Patients and gonococcal isolates (n = 783) from five sexually transmitted disease clinics in Ohio and western Pennsylvania were studied to investigate the spread of gonococci with decreased fluoroquinolone susceptibility. Histoplasmosis, an opportunistic fungal infection endemic in the Ohio and Mississippi river valleys, is caused by a dimorphic fungus Histoplasma capsulatum. Most infections are asymptomatic or self-limited febrile illness. Immunosuppressed renal transplant recipients are susceptible to a disseminated disease. This study was performed to determine preoperative criteria for identifying patients at risk for delirium after major head and neck cancer surgery. The authors prospectively evaluated 138 consecutive patients undergoing head and neck cancer surgery lasting more than 2 hours at the Arthur G. Histoplasma capsulatum (Hc) is a dimorphic fungal pathogen indigenous to the Ohio and Mississippi River Valleys in the United States. Infection is initiated by inhalation of microconidia or small mycelial fragments into the terminal bronchioles of the lung. Tourette Syndrome (TS) is an uncommon developmental disability characterized by repetitive and involuntary verbal and motor tics. A survey of all known affiliates of the Tourette Syndrome Association of Ohio was conducted to document the special problems and needs of the TS student.
