We modified the Onen method for pectus carinatum repair and used a vertical incision instead of a transverse incision. The most important advantage gained by the vertical incision is that we can switch to the Ravitch method without needing an additional incision, by elongating the existing incision in patients in whom a pectus bar cannot be placed. We successfully performed the modified Onen technique in a 16-year-old boy with a mixed-type pectus carinatum deformity.

In this case report, the boy with familiar spastic paraplegia, the relatively rare genetic disorder and Klinefelter syndrome that was found during investigation, has been presented. The diagnosis of the disease has been established by anamnesis, clinical features and relevant diagnostic procedures, so the criteria for autosomal dominant type of the familiar spastic paraplegia have been fulfilled. The therapeutic possibilities are limited to the physical therapy and orthopedic treatment of feet deformities.

Canine leishmaniasis (CanL), caused by Leishmania infantum, is a multisystemic disease with substantial musculoskeletal involvement. We aimed to assess the usefulness of USG in diagnosing joint abnormalities in dogs with CanL using a clinical approach.
